Umpires must attend a training session.  See events to the right for the Fall 2022 season event.

All sessions will be held at Ramon Lucio Park.

The number of umpires per game in each division will be:

Uniforms

Umpires will be required to wear full uniforms:

• Gray pants
• Shirt (blue or red) tucked in
• Hats worn at all times
• Black shoes  

Umpires that work behind the plate are expected to have their protective equipment, but we will have one set of gear (owned by SMYBSA) that will be available at each complex in case of an emergency. 

If a scheduled umpire does not have their gear, they will be charged for the use of SMYBSA equipment
